First death registered for an elder man who was inoculated

A 70-year-old man from Al-Saghir family  in Ansariyeh, Saida has passed away after four days from receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

Sources said that  the deceased man was infected with coronavirus, and has received a vaccination dose without undergoing a PCR test. Sources added that he received a text message from the official platform to get inoculated at Nabih Berri University Hospital in Nabatiyeh, but he passed away this afternoon.

This case is considered the first of its kind in Lebanon, so the Ministry of Public Health have to reconsider the conditions of the citizens who are eligible to receive the vaccine, through asking them to prove that they are not infected with the virus, or providing a PCR result before being inoculated.
