First ship carrying Iraqi oil has arrived in Lebanon

The first ship carrying Iraqi oil has arrived; half of the cargo will be unloaded at the Deir Ammar plant, while the other half will be unloaded in Al-Zahrani.

“This step is vital and helps us to resist, we hope that additional shipments will arrive,” said the head of the Deir Ammar facility.

It is noteworthy that according to the agreement and contract signed by former Minister Raymond Ghajar with the Iraqi Minister of Finance, and the Director General of General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, a bid will be received every month to replace Iraqi fuel with fuel needed by Lebanon’s electricity plants, provided that the second bid will take place in the first week of October.
