Foreign Ministry called on everyone to restraint and work to avoid escalation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants welcomed the statement issued by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in which it “expressed its deep regret over the worsening relations between a number of Arab countries and the Lebanese Republic.”

The ministry called on everyone to restrain and work to avoid escalation and address differences through dialogue and understanding in a way that preserves the brotherly countries and their peoples’ supreme interests in security, stability and cooperation based on mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs.”

The ministry affirmed “Lebanon’s keenness to maintain the best relations with its Gulf and Arab brothers.”

Bou Habib, contacted a while ago his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, valuing the statement issued by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the current crisis, stressing “the importance of dialogue and understanding to overcome it and Lebanon’s keenness on the best fraternal relations with its Arab and Gulf brethrens.”
