French ambassador visits Tripoli, listens to citizens’ concerns

The French embassy announced via Twitter that the French ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo, had visited for the second time the cities of Tripoli and Akkar, and met a number of “Lebanese partners who benefit from French cooperation and aid programs,” and was informed of the progress of work in the four sectors that are deemed by France as priority [Education – Health – Food security – Culture and Heritage].

In the wake of the visit, Grillo tweeted the following: “Lively exchanges with inspiring Tripolitans. Tribute to their exceptional commitment in this period of crisis, for the benefit of the social cohesion of their city, and the Flag of Lebanon through projects of mediation, reintegration, education and appropriation of their heritage.”

“Wherever I go, in the country, I will continue to meet them [citizens] to listen to their messages, understand their reality and support their struggles,” she wrote.
