Geagea nominates Riachy in the Northern Matn: FPM and Hezbollah are planning to cancel the elections

The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, indicated that the Free Patriotic Movement and Hezbollah are preparing a plan to postpone the elections or to cancel them by raising the issue of the expatriates’ elections.

During the Lebanese Forces’ nomination of former Minister Melhem Riachy for the Catholic seat in the northern Metn, Geagea considered that the October 17 revolution began in Jal El Dib and the Matn coast, and from there it spread to Kesrouan, Jbeil, the south, Beirut, Bekaa, Tripoli and the north. The coast of the Matn turned into a balance for the situation of the revolution, pointing out that “from here the Executive Committee of the Lebanese Forces decided to nominate Minister Melhem Riachy for the Catholic seat in the northern Matn to complete the battle. And just as the revolution was embodied in Jal el-Dib, it is also embodied in Khenchara, Bteghrine, Beit Shabab, Dhour Choueir and Baabdat.”
