After the clarification issued by the Ministry of Energy and Water that the arrival of two Iranian oil tankers at the port of Beirut is not true , the General Directorate of Oil clarified in a statement that it “has not received any request for a permit from any official or private entity, to import oil from Iran.”

Earlier this morning, the Iranian embassy in Beirut tweeted the following: “The arrival of Iranian oil tankers to Beirut does not require the American ambassador’s trifles. The ambassador should not interfere in the brotherly relations between the Iranian and Lebanese’ both people and countries.”
