Gulf crisis hits gold and jewelry industry

Gold and Jewelery Industry’s Syndicate in Lebanon announced in a statement, that it held an expanded meeting headed by Captain Boghos Cordian in Bourj Hammoud, where they discussed “the economic conditions that Lebanon has reached, especially after the political crisis with the brotherly Gulf states, which negatively affected the industrialists through suspending economic, commercial and industrial relations,” calling on “the state and the relevant ministries to protect all economic sectors, especially the jewelry industry.”
During the meeting, he stressed the “importance of strategic, economic and fraternal relations with the Gulf countries, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to continue protecting our national and Arab economy, especially in terms of holding annual exhibitions of the jewelry sector, which enhances industrial and commercial relations with the brotherly Arab and Gulf countries.”
