The Minister of Social Affairs, Hector Hajjar, issued a statement regarding the “financing card” and “the emergency project to support the social safety net in response to the Covid 19 pandemic and the economic crisis in Lebanon.” Hajjar stated that he “has completed the necessary preparations for the launch of these two projects, after continuous work with those concerned since the first day of his assumption of his duties in the ministry.”

In his statement, he confirmed that the Impact platform will be technically and logistically ready to start the registration process within 10 days.

Hajjar revealed that “what hinders the start of the registration process and the launch of the “emergency project to support the social safety net in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic crisis in Lebanon” known as ESSN, which has become an urgent need in these difficult economic conditions, is the approval of the required amendments according to Law No. 219 in the Parliament Representatives.
