Minister of Education, Abbas Al-Halabi, on Tuesday said in a statement that given the weather forecast that predicts snow storms and ice waves all across Lebanon, it was up to each school and its director — whether a public or private educational institution — to decide whether to open or close the school doors during the anticipated storm, depending on the school’s location.

However, the Minister insisted that each educational institution was responsible for the safety of its students.
