Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s office denied what was mentioned in a television report, about a meeting he had with the political aide of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hussein al-Khalil.
A television report mentioned that Mikati met with Khalil, and discussed the issue of Information Minister Georges Qordahi, without reaching a tangible solution.
Pointing out that “Mikati insisted that the solution to the crisis begins with Qordahi’s resignation or his dismissal.” The report continued, that “Hezbollah adheres to its stance that it is necessary to keep Qordahi and prevent him from resigning.”
