The UNIFIL spokesperson, Andrea Tenenti, responded in a statement to a series of fake media reports, confirming that “UNIFIL have never canceled the holiday of Eid Al Fitr, and that was always a regular occasion for us.”

“On Thursday, May 13, UNIFIL will celebrate this occasion as the mission previously announced,” Tenenti concluded.
