Hasbani: Iranian fuel oil ship is a message for Hezbollah Federation in Lebanon

In light of Iranian fuel oil ship Former Deputy Prime Minister Ghassan Hasbani said, “The creation of the government is a great thing, despite the fact that the deadline is late,” adding that “every day of delay lowers the efficacy of any cabinet that will be created, regardless of its skills.”

“Lebanon today is a prisoner to the present authority,” Hasbani said in an interview with “Voice of Lebanon,” adding that “the alternative lies in dismissing this authority as soon as possible in a democratic way, through parliamentary elections.”

He emphasized that “every day that passes without having elections is a day without reform,” and that “we should not wait for aid from outside to change the reality.”

“Reviving the institutions that construct the state requires an infusion of cash from outside, which is not feasible in light of isolation,” he added, stressing that “isolation cannot be dissolved as long as there is a state inside the state and no sovereignty in Lebanon.”

Hasbani said that if an Iranian oil ship entered Lebanon, sanctions would be imposed on it, because oil entering Lebanon would benefit some groups temporarily and would not be a solution to the crisis.
