The Minister of Social Affairs, Hector Hajjar, announced that “the platform through which the financing card is registered, is ready, and the contract with the operating company is ready, and we can launch the ISSN and register as soon as the amendments are approved in the House of Representatives.”

In an interview with “Voice of People” via “Sawt Beirut International”, Hajjar hoped that Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri would “hold a close session to approve the law related to the agreement between the World Bank and the Lebanese state to support the poorest families, and the amount allocated to finance the financing card is present.”

He pointed out that “donors prefer that we pay in dollars according to assistance programs, and not in Lebanese pounds.”
