President of the Republic Michel Aoun said in a statement on the occasion of the “Second International Day of Human Fraternity”, that human fraternity is a value at the heart of establishing Lebanon as a homeland for coexistence, and should be preserved as on its basis many societies rise from their setbacks without canceling or excluding any component.”

Aoun added, “It is imperative that we adhere to brotherhood to assure for our children and the world that we are able to complete our common path with mutual respect for our privacy that enriches our unity with its diversity.”

People all over the world, including religious leaders and global figures, celebrate the second International Day of Human Fraternity, which coincides with the third anniversary of the signing of His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the historic Human Fraternity Document in Abu Dhabi on February 4, 2019.
