MP Ibrahim Kanaan, Chair of the Finance and Budget Committee, and MP Yassine Jaber, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, met in Parliament with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, which included the Assistant Director of the IMF, the new head of the IMF’s mission in Lebanon, and the outgoing head of the delegation.

The discussion focused on the financial and economic situation in light of the present crisis and how to solve it, particularly given the necessity of obtaining an agreement on a rescue plan with the International Monetary Fund and the Fund’s willingness to assist Lebanon.
