Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri aaffirmed that “the Lebanese have fought and succeeded, and were able to defy the impacts of the Israeli war effort and protect Lebanon.”

On the anniversary of the July aggression, he said in a statement that “the homeland has been unable to fall, and today it is confronting the very same challenge, so will we achieve success?”

“Immunity should be lifted regardless of the position of the person in question,” Berri continued, “and Parliament will back the judiciary to the utmost extent permitted by law.”
