In Lebanon… 15 cancer drugs missing!

Head of the Oncology and Hematology Department at Mount Lebanon Hospital, Professor Fadi Nasr, indicated that there are 10 to 15 cancer medicines missing in Lebanon.

He pointed out via a radio interview that the patient cannot wait, adding: “The delay in securing medicines for diabetes, heart and cancer affects the patient’s life, and the governor of the Banque du Liban must provide a long-term mechanism.”

Nasr continued, “We want to have a monthly budget for these medicines and not to be discretionary. The patient cannot afford the prices of these medicines that exceed his financial capacity, so we must continue to raise our voice and for each patient to have a file and a clear protocol to prevent drug smuggling.”
