Increase in the consumer price index in Lebanon during the month of May

The Central Statistics Department at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers announced, in a statement, that the consumer price index in Lebanon for the month of May 2022 recorded an increase of 7.85% in relation to the month of April 2022. This figure also recorded at the governorate level the following:

An increase in Beirut governorate of 7.35%

An increase in the Mount Lebanon governorate of 6.84%.

An increase in the North Governorate of 8.52%

An increase in the Bekaa Governorate, which is 8.44%.

An increase in the South Governorate by 9.35%

An increase in Nabatieh governorate of 11.79%

She pointed out that the consumer price index in Lebanon for the month of May 2022 recorded an increase of 211.43% compared to the month of May 2021.
