Information Minister to Radio Lebanon underlines keenness on preserving liberties, free opinion

Information Minister, Ziad Makary, on Wednesday stressed, in an interview with state-run Radio Lebanon, that he is working to protect liberties and free opinion.

Minister Makary hailed in his interview how things are being managed and addressed in the Council of Ministers with transparency and cooperation, while referring to some hindrances that prevent advancement in the country.

“The system in Lebanon prevents the country from progressing,” the Minister maintained.

Makary also disclosed that a project is being underway for the Hazmieh-based Television of Lebanon (TL), which will be announced soon during a meeting to be held upcoming May 5 and 6, 2022.

“I regard this station as a gem and a major part of our childhood with its distinguished programmes, and I promise positive signs in this matter.”

Moreover, Minister Makary hailed Radio Lebanon’s employees for their devotion and sacrfice despite all circumstances, and saluted the endeavors of the “National News Agency” staff members, and its Director Ziad Harfouche, as well as the Ministry’s Studies Department.
