Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a call from Jordan’s King Abdullah II, congratulating him on the formation of the new government.

King Abdullah affirmed in his call that he would “intensify his efforts with the world leaders to support Lebanon, which is facing a critical humanitarian and economic situation that requires a well-planned and meticulously implemented international response.”

King Abdullah said the Lebanon is in dire need for support in these tough circumstances, wishing PM Mikati “success in his mission.”

PM Mikati thanked “King of Jordan for his constant friendliness towards Lebanon and his commendable initiatives towards the Lebanese,” and said: “The Lebanese have not forgotten Jordan’s permanent support for Lebanon.” He wished “fraternal Jordan, under his leadership, stability.”
