The Finance and Budget Committee held a session headed by Representative Ibrahim Kanaan, with 3 economic, commercial, industrial and agricultural items on its agenda, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and the Ministry of Finance.

After the session, Kanaan said: A compensation has been approved for wheat and barley farmers for the damages that affected their crops, and the committee has directed to stimulate industrial investment.

He added, “We stress the need to amend the value of the transportation allowance, which should be raised from 24 thousand pounds per day to 60 or 70 thousand pounds, in addition to approving social assistance for employees and retirees, and we will hold a meeting at the Ministry of Finance to study the issue and its cost.”

He pointed out that “we cannot remain silent about people’s pain, which will lead to a social explosion and “the government should meet.”
