Karaki files lawsuits against 3 Institutions registering fictitious employees

The Director General of the National Social Security Fund, Mhamad Karaki, detected three institutions that registered hundreds of fictitious Lebanese and Foreign employees, that breached the Law and benefited from the fund’s aid, and are, namely:

According to a statement issued by the Social Security, the Authority considering cases, and under the Direction of Dr. Karaki, filed three criminal lawsuits before the Financial Public Prosecutor, on February 23, 2021, after the results of the Institutions Inspectors Reports that ended with the removal of the violating companies from the records of the Social Security Fund altogether with the fictitious employees, and demanding the recovery of all aids they took advantage of without having the right to.

Karaki explained that his joint work with the Management of the Social Security Fund and its Supervisory Agencies will not hesitate to take maximum measures and pursue and prosecute those who violate the laws of the fund, especially in terms of infringing on the rights of the insured and threatening their health and social security, warning that no party will be allowed to infringe on the rights of the Social Security and persons benefiting from it, at risk of legal and criminal prosecution.
