“Mzaar Kfardebian is set to reopen on Friday (12/03/2021) after a forced shutdown which aimed to preserve public safety,” the Kfardebian municipality said in a statement on Tuesday.
This decision comes after a meeting was held between a delegation from the High Commission for COVID-19, the municipality of Kfardebian and Mzaar Ski Resort Company, during which the loopholes that took place came under assessment, the municipality said.
The decision to reopen the ski resort also comes after the company submitted a proposal of the measures it will be taking in a bid to improve safety, the municipality added.
The Kfardebian municipality’s police will be verifying the permits duly granted through the platform, provided that the company takes the utmost organizational measures to resume activities in what is left of this year’s winter season.
