“Sawt Beirut International” learned that the judicial public prosecutor, Judge Ghassan Khoury, asked the judicial investigator in the Beirut port explosion crime, Judge Tariq Bitar, to deposit all the available documents and evidences,  according to which he requested permission to prosecute the Director General of Public Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, in light of which , he will decide whether to give the relevant permission or not.

Judge Bitar had referred to Judge Khoury the part related to Major General Ibrahim and asked him to annul the Minister of Interior, Mohamed Fahmy’s decision, as to refrain from giving permission to prosecute the Director General of Public Security, after he considered,  that the ammonium nitrate were unloaded in Beirut port, upon a  judicial decision,  and that Public Security has no authority of doing this.
