Kreidieh says, there is a real risk on telecommunications network if diesel was not provided

Ogero’s financial advance that was proposed to purchase diesel fuel and for the maintenance of telecom equipment was not approved last week, and this has prompted the Lebanese Army to provide Ogero with 200 tons of diesel, according to the Director General Imad Kreidieh, which was sufficient only for 4 days.

Kreidieh told “An-Nahar” on Wednesday that “the oil facilities did not provide Ogero with the required diesel due to the delays in unloading fuel from the ship. He added: “if we do not receive diesel in the next two days, there will be a great and real danger on the communications network.”

Kreidieh pointed out that “Ogero is still facing the same crisis,” as the telecommunications sector suffers from the power cuts, and the difficulty of securing power for the centrals.
