Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Bassam Mawlawi, followed up on the arrested Lebanese case in Turkey, and those who had left Lebanon illegally.
The relevant Ministry contacted the Lebanese Embassy in Turkey, and the General Directorate of Lebanese Public Security, where the necessary papers were secured, to facilitate their return to Lebanon.
Mawlawi had followed up on the case of the boat stuck in the middle of the sea, at a distance of about 22.8 nautical miles, which carried on board a number of Lebanese who tried to leave illegally, and he had asked the General Directorate of Civil Defense to remain in full readiness, he instructed also the General Directorate of national Security to collect necessary information about travelers.
The Lebanese army informed Mawlawy that it has found them, and is working to bring them back safely to the Lebanese coast.
