President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, followed up the work of the specialized military and security forces in searching for the missing passengers of the boat that sank last Saturday night off the coast of Tripoli, as well as the course of the investigations.

The President asked to open an investigation to reveal the circumstances of what happened to determine the responsibilities.

In addition, President Aoun was briefed on the measures taken by the High Authority for Relief and Humanitarian Organizations to assist the survivors of the boat’s passengers and secure their needs.

The Lebanese flag was downed at the Presidential Palace mast mourning for the victims of the boat.
