Lebanese Independent Film Festival kicks off Saturday 25 September

The Lebanese Independent Film Festival – LIFF, in partnership with the Swedish Embassy and “A Night at Misfit Films” Festival (Arizona), will take place September  the 25th and the 26th 2021 at Station Beirut – Jisr El Wati, with a reception and Avant-premiere screening on the 25th.
On September 25th and 26th , we will be screening local and international films with the presence of NGOs: “Embrace”, “Kafa”, “Abaad”, shedding light on the importance of mental health and civil rights in our society.

After reaching more than 1200 film submissions from more than 87 countries worldwide, The Lebanese Independent Film Festival – LIFF is proud to become one of the biggest festivals in Lebanon.

Ending the first night of the festival with two Avant-premiere: “An Attempt” by Pamela Nassour and “Notfa” by Salem Hadchity, with the presence of the directors and actors, followed by the screening of two feature documentaries “Beirut Terminus” by Elie Kamal and “Welcome to Ouzeville” by Jay B. Jammal.

On Sunday 26th, “Ghabe” by Markus Castro a Guldbagge award winning film for best supporting actor to Ahmad Fadel will be screened before the award ceremony.
