Professor Jacques Mokhbat explained that Lebanon is currently awaiting European decisions regarding the AstraZeneca vaccine, to act accordingly regarding the follow-up or the cancellation of its adoption in Lebanon.

Mokhbat pointed out in a radio interview that the Vaccine National Coordinating Committee, met yesterday but did not reach a final agreement, but rather postponed its decision until the results of studies conducted in Europe are released.

Mokhbat explained that the percentage of people who develop clots after receiving the vaccine is not greater than the percentage of people who develop clots without vaccination, indicating that the percentage of clots due to other vaccines was not considered nor negotiated, just like the AstraZeneca vaccine.
