On the occasion of Independence Day, Anne Grillo, Ambassador of France to Lebanon, tweeted: “On this national holiday, I extend my best wishes for a Lebanon that is united to overcome all the challenges it faces today, a country and a state that stems from the strong attachment of Lebanese to living together in an open, free, and pluralistic country.”

“France stands by the Lebanese population who are working with determination, talent, and courage to build the Lebanon that they aspire to and deserve,” Grillo said.

She stated that “the tragic situation in the country necessitates that the authorities and political class assume their responsibilities without further delay.”
