The Middle East Airlines Employees and Workers Union’s Executive Council affirmed its “stand by the General Labor Union in its protest, which began after the country reached the verge of disaster, and after the employee and worker reached the edge of economic hardship and the absence of remedies, not to mention the absence of a government working to save  the country.

The General Labor Union called on the government to “take the initiative away from those who meddle in the lives of citizens and workers” and to keep its meetings open so that proper decisions could be made in the face of the crisis. People’s savings are eroding, in addition to their income, which is no longer enough to sustain them for several months after decades of hard work.

The council called on workers to stop working on Thursday from 12:00 to 13:00 p.m. and assemble in front of the company’s external entrance to voice citizens’ demands.
