Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Friday welcomed at the Grand Serail the Director General for Near and Middle East, Africa and Latin America at the German Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Philipp Ackermann, in the presence of German Ambassador to Lebanon, Andreas Kindl.

The pair discussed the general situation and the most recent developments in Lebanon and the region.

Separately, Mikati welcomed the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta, Bertrand Besancenot, who paid him a farewell visit marking the end of his diplomatic mission in Lebanon.

Mikati also received Minister of National Defense, Maurice Sleem, and Lebanon’s Ambassador to Spain, Hala Keyrouz.
