Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed that “the cooperation of all parties is very important to put Lebanon on the path of recovery.”
He pointed out that “the first step that we are working on is to stop the collapse occurring in the country and end the immediate problems related to securing the electric current and resolving the medicine and fuel crisis, in parallel with moving to address other problems in cooperation with the relevant international bodies.”
The Prime Minister had received a delegation of economic bodies headed by former Minister Mohamed Choucair this morning at the Grand Serail.
During the meeting, Choucair congratulated President Mikati on the formation of the government, wishing him success and being able, during this short period, to stop the decline and collapse and save the country.
Choucair stressed that “the seriousness and difficulty of the situation at various levels requires concerted efforts and capabilities to get Lebanon and the Lebanese out of the bottleneck.”
He stressed, “The economic authorities, based on their national responsibilities, put their capabilities at the disposal of President Mikati and will cooperate with him to make this national mission a success.”
