The Minister of Displaced in the caretaker government, Issam Sharaf El-Din confirmed: “I have an official authorization in the file of the displaced Syrians and I have documents confirming what I say, and I tried to meet Prime Minister Najib Mikati, but he did not respond. And in the event that he wants to withdraw the file from me, I want to hear it from him, and let him bear the responsibility for the history and the Lebanese people.”“.

Sharaf El-Din told “Voice of Lebanon”: “Mikati does not want to be in the forefront of this file and is trying to create a dispute between me and Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar.” He added: “The prime minister is a big businessman who has his institutions in the West, i.e. the donor countries, and he does not want to disagree with them, even at the expense of the Lebanese people who are insisting on the return of the displaced Syrians to their country.”
