The Labor Secretariat at the National Liberal Party said in a statement that it has been observing for a long time the catastrophic situation the country is going through, along with the devastating living conditions, as a result of the rulers’ failure in facing the crisis.”

The party called on all labor and economic bodies to “converge around a project that rescues the country from total collapse, which will happen due to lifting subsidies on food, fuel, and pharmaceuticals, as well as preserving the depositors’ rights that are threatened in banks.”

The party declared its total support to the strike and demands called by the General Labor Union. “Forming a government of non-partisan specialists has become a priority for economic recovery,” the statement said.

The party invited all its advocates to participate in the movements on Wednesday May 26, and to raise their voices so Officials and rulers will respond to their demands and put an end to this economic collapse which affected all Lebanese.
