New Saudi escalation towards Lebanon

In what is considered to be an escalating step, diplomatic and administrative teams from the Saudi embassy, are leaving from Rafic Hariri Airport.
As the political scene in Lebanon is worsening, the Lebanese authorities have not taken practical measures after Saudi Arabia’s decisions against Lebanon, which amounted to a diplomatic, political and economic rupture. The UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait followed suit, following the statements of the Lebanese Minister of Information, George Qordahi, about the Yemen war and his support for the Houthis.
In a television interview conducted before he took office, and broadcast last week, Qordohi described the Yemen war as “absurd,” saying tha the Houthi rebels were “defending themselves” in the face of “external aggression” from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The Lebanese government confirmed its “rejection” for Qordahi’s statements, noting that he “does not express the government’s stance at all,” but the minister refused to back down.
