Online Money Transfer (OMT) confirmed in a statement that it is still paying the money transfers coming from abroad in US dollars.

Information has been circulated through social media stating that a draft circular has been issued by the Central Bank to pay remittances received from abroad through money transfer companies in US dollars and in Lebanese pounds in equal.

The statement confirmed that OMT has not yet been informed of any circular issued by the Central Bank to revoke the intermediate circular 566. “If such circular was issued, OMT will review all the details to build on the matter.”
