The French Foreign Ministry demanded on Tuesday a “clarification of all circumstances” surrounding the October 13 strike in southern Lebanon that left a Reuters journalist dead and many others injured, including Agence France-Presse photographers.

In a press release, the French Foreign Ministry said, “France recalls the necessity of respecting international humanitarian law, which is an international and ethical commitment that includes the protection of civilians, especially journalists who should be able to pursue their profession freely and safely.”
