Paris: It is necessary to keep Lebanon out of regional crises

French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Anne-Claire Legendre, stressed the need for “Lebanon to be able to count on all its partners in the region to help it out of the crisis.”

The spokeswoman pointed out that “it is very necessary to keep Lebanon out of regional crises.”

On the other hand, Anne-Claire Logender indicated that Paris is consulting with its allies on how to respond to Iran’s lack of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, a day after Tehran announced that it would return to nuclear talks with world powers at the end of November.

“We, and our partners, remain cautious about ensuring that Iran fulfills its obligations and we are still deliberating on the response,” said Anne-Claire Logender.

The agency will hold a meeting of its board of governors before resuming nuclear talks. The Western signatories to the nuclear deal called on Iran to immediately resume dialogue and cooperation with the agency.
