In his greeting to the Lebanese on the New Year occasion, Industry Minister George Pouchikian said: “In a few hours, the year ends, and Lebanon and the Lebanese will welcome the year 2022…Ordeals and crises have passed that may be the most difficult and painful in the history of the country. Now we hope that this sad page will be folded, and a new, white page will be opened, which the Lebanese will fill with hope, confidence and determination to change and build the Lebanon of tomorrow, establishing a promising future for the youth, the leaders of the next generation.”
“The situation is not hopeless, no matter how huge the challenges,” he added, emphasizing that “Lebanon and its people throughout history have rebelled against demise and destruction, through the solidarity of its people and their solid will.”
Pouchkian hoped for a “qualitative and transformative leap in the coming year that reflects the aspirations and fulfills the hopes and ambitions.”
