The Presidency of the Republic’s Media Office clarified that “Prime Minister Dr. Hassan Diab was invited to attend the meeting of the Supreme Defense Council, but he apologized for not attending due to the quarantine that he entered two days ago. However, PM Diab informed President Aoun, that he agreed to hold the meeting on time and in his absence.

“The meeting of the Supreme Defense Council was held in conformity with the legal and organizational norms,” the Media Office said.
