President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, on Wednesday afternoon chaired a meeting of the Higher Defense Council, to discuss the health situation in the country and the possibility of extending public mobilization, which ends tomorrow.

The session was attended by Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, Ministers of National Defense, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Interior and Municipalities, Trade and Economy, Justice, Public Health and Public Works and Transportation, as well as heads of security apparatuses.

The meeting will be followed by a Cabinet session.
