The Secretary-General of Public Relations for Agricultural Syndicates federation in Lebanon, Ali Shoman, called on farmers in Lebanon to “link the prices of vegetables and fruits to dollar price, because farmer have lost all productive sectors ingredients in absence of support.”

In a statement, Shoman expressed his “apologies to the consumer, for the farmer’s inability to withstand.”

He said, “We’ve hoped that the government would provide support to productive sectors, but instead it removes subsidies from all the ingredients that supports the farmer.”
