Protests over deteriorating living conditions are ongoing across Lebanon

Due to the high cost of living and the unprecedented spike in the dollar exchange rate, protests and roadblocks have continued.

A main road connecting southern Lebanon to the capital Beirut was blocked this morning in the Damour area, while Saadnayel Road was cut off with tires, causing a traffic bottleneck.

In Saida, a group of motorists and van drivers blocked the road at the city’s northern entrance with cars and congregated in the middle of the road to protest the closure of gas stations today and the non-filling of fuel for drivers and civilians due to Lebanese army security measures.

In protest of the shortage of gasoline distribution today, a number of public automobile owners blocked the road with their cars in front of the Coral station near the Ogero building in Saida.
