The General Directorate of Public Security issued a clarification of its previous statement, in which it confirmed the continuation of receiving requests for obtaining or replacing Lebanese biometric passports that are valid for ten years for adults, while requests for obtaining or replacing passports valid for five years, were limited to those under the age of eighteen
The Directorate had earlier announced that it would stop receiving applications for obtaining or replacing Lebanese biometric passports, valid for five years for adults, until further notice, for technical reasons.
