The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a statement expressing its “deep astonishment and condemnation” of Minister of Information George Qordahi’s statements.
The Ministry considered that ” the new Lebanese Minister of Information’s stance is not responsible towards his country and Arab issues alike.”
It added, “He should not have plunged brotherly Lebanon into external crises, and accordingly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the Lebanese government to take urgent and decisive necessary measures in this regard, to calm the situation and to expedite the healing of the rift between the brothers.”
