The Maronite Patriarch Mar Bchara Boutros Rahi stated that our political community represents Lebanon’s ugliest picture, and that the people are watching a political media circus as the political community searches for its own interests.

“We do not complain about a lack of powers, but rather a lack of responsibility,” Rahi remarked during Sunday sermon. “We look forward to the French conference to support the Army, as it is the institution that ensures civil peace,” he continued.

The acknowledgment and recognition of the Lebanese Army, according to Patriarch Al-Rahi, should be limited to the sole lawful obligation of sovereignty.
