Rahi: Everyone lives and worries for the Lebanese people

The Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, continues his pastoral visit to Cyprus, where he presided over a Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Graces – Nicosia, on the intention of the parishioners.
A group of bishops and priests assisted him in serving the mass, in the presence of the Lebanese Maronite MP John Moussa, Lebanon’s ambassador to Cyprus Claude Hajal, Dr. Fadi Kmeir, the Lebanese delegation from the Maronite League, the Maronite Gathering for Lebanon, the Qannoubine League for Mission and Heritage, and a large crowd of believers.
After reciting the Holy Gospel, Rahi said: “I wanted from this contemplation of the Gospel to emphasize two words. The first word to the Cypriot or non-Cypriot Maronites, is to have the hope of returning to your life in your villages. As for the second word, it is for the Lebanese, because everyone lives and worries for the Lebanese people, and what is the fate of this people, so I say nothing will last forever, because God is merciful and rejects injustice and tyranny. And the people of Cyprus and Lebanon must continue their spiritual relationship with the Lord, constant prayer, and almsgiving, in order to deserve the transfiguration of the Lord.”
