A delegation from the “Kataeb party” visited Bkerke to meet with Maronite Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi.

During the visit, Patriarch Al-Rahi said: “Today we are living in a fateful phase, which requires the phrase and anthem, ‘Come on, the Phalangists’.”

He added: “The Kataeb Party has never compromised on the Lebanese cause, but it has always been its cause, and it fought for it and sacrificed martyrs.”

The Patriarch concluded: “I refuse the question about the possibility of holding parliamentary and presidential elections, because the constitutional entitlements should not be questioned about the possibility of holding them.”

As for the deputy head of the Kataeb Party, Salim al-Sayegh, he confirmed that the visit was an expression of absolute and full support, and said: “Your battle is our battle.”
