The Union of Restaurant, Pub, and Hotel workers said in a statement that the clashes that are occurring in supermarkets for purchasing subsidized food materials, because the Syrian refugees who are working in supermarkets are monopolizing the products, and purchasing it instead of the Lebanese who are paying for this support from their pockets.”

The union stressed that “they will not keep silent although any movement on the ground will not be for the good of anyone, especially that we have previously reiterated our warning to the institutions and the state about from foreign workers.”
